What is Shajaratul Eemaan?
Shajaratul Eemaan is an up-and-coming educational program consisting of college-
like courses established with the purpose of increasing the number of knowledge-
based Islamic resources available in the New York and New Jersey region. Our goal
is to promote and uphold the values of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah.
Our Purpose:
Indeed the Messenger of Allah - peace and blessings be upon him - said in a
hadeeth narrated on the authority of Anas bin Maalik - may Allah be pleased with him:
"Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim" (reported by ibn Majah)
With the permission of Allah, we are doing our part to increase the availability of
authentic knowledge in the US by linking the American Muslims with the major
scholars or our time and providing them with essential teachings of Islam, while
also offering comfortable, affordable educational settings which appeal to serious
students of knowledge.
We intend to consistently host a series of free lectures, classes, seminars, and
telelinks with the Scholars of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah and the Du'aat in the West
as a means of upholding the fundamental principles of Islamic sciences upon the
methodology of the Salaf.
Our seminars aim to strengthen the proper understanding of Islam. All of our
seminars are fully interactive, allowing our students to participate and test the
amount of knowledge they have acquired on the particular subject being discussed.
We offer our students the opportunity to sit in a live telelink with the Scholars of Ahlus
Sunnah and benefit from their words directly and ask questions live.

The majority of our seminars are conducted in a college setting to provide a moresuitable environment for our students.
Our instructors and seminar structure:
All of our instructors are students of knowledge who have benefited directly from the
Scholars and have strong relationships with them. Many of them have studied at
institutes such as the Islamic University of Madeenah, the University of Umm al-
Qura, or have studied in other locations such as Yemen or Egypt.
Each seminar consists of a one-weekend intensive course which provides the
student with adequate understanding of the topics chosen and will aid his/her future
research and implementation of that particular subject matter. All our seminars are
free and open to the general public. We operate on the generosity of the Muslims in

Our vision:
This is just the beginning of our humble efforts to spread the knowledge of Islam
upon its correct understanding and calling the people to Islam upon the way
practiced by the Salaf.
However, Shajaratul Eemaan's long-term goal is to establish a fully operating
Islamic Institute in the West that will facilitate the dissemination of knowledge. It will
also give us the ability to hold classes on a more frequent basis, keeping studies
consistent and increasing opportunities to benefit from Scholars directly while living
in the West.
