To spend in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is a charity with high merit and great reward.
Some of the common contributions made in this respect are: donations towards the Masjid, which
one can do in his own community; however the source of greatest reward is to construct a Masjid.
The reward attained through the performance of this kind of good deed affords the continuing of
reward even after death (as-sadaqa jariyah).
By providing a place to pray, one receives a reward for each prayer that is made and for any wayfarer
who seeks shelter inside. The rewards for the prayer are multiplied each time someone makes
salaat. Building a masjid is a sadaqa jariyah, it is where knowledge can be continuously taught, and
where our children can grow to be righteous Muslims with Allah's Permission resulting in them
praying for us after our death.

In addition, Uthman bin Affaan narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon
him) said:
"Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, Allah will build something similar for him in Jannah." (reported
by al-Bukhari, Muslim, Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi, & Ibn Majah)

Likewise, Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

He, the Most Hight, also says:
"As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, and believes in

About Masjid Ansar as-Sunnah:
Masjid Ansar as-Sunnah was established in Paterson, New Jersey in 1998 upon the principles of Ahlus
Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah. Since its inception, we have been diligent in adhering to the correct
understanding of Islam according to the Book of Allah, the Qur’aan, and the authentic teachings of the
Prophet Muhammad (sallaa Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) upon the understanding of the Righteous
Predecessors (as-Salaf as-Saalih).
Presently located at 63 Washington Street in Paterson, New Jersey, Masjid Ansar as-Sunnah is a
growing community with a wide variety of ethnicities and cultures. We keep close ties with the Scholars
of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah by hosting live tele-link conferences. In addition, we offer weekly classes
open to the general public on a number of Islamic topics, as well as host special events with resident
and guest speakers.
Masjid Ansar as-Sunnah’s goal is to increase awareness of the essence and beauty of Islam upon its
correct principles to cultivate and educate ourselves, as well as the community in general. Ultimately, we
wish to establish a fully operating community center as a humble effort to spread the message of Islam
and invite others to this way of life.
Our Goal:
Masjid Ansar as-Sunnah is currently aiming on purchasing our own property in order to expand our
facility to accommodate our growing community wal-hamdulillah. Our goal is to purchase a facility that
will encompass a spacious musalah area for brothers and sisters, a bookstore, schooling facility for our
children, and recreation area. Our goal within the next few months is to raise well over $750,000. This
estimate is sufficient to purchase a property, begin site planning and architectural designing, and well
as maintain our current masjid.
We ask those that are capable from our brothers and sisters to invest in the hereafter and aid in this
project so that it may allow us all to benefit everyone for years to come insha'Allah.
